Resolution with Dignity

As an attorney I have had the opportunity to work with Attorney Douglas Brill for approximately 20 years. We have had a number of cases together in which we were opposing counsel and I have served as a Guardian ad Litem in cases in which Doug represented one of the parents in a conflict over custody of the child. I have also observed Doug in his role as mediator as he recently mediated a complex and difficult case in which I represented one of the parties. It has always been a pleasure to work with Doug. His intelligence, professionalism and courtesy is constant regardless of the role he plays in any case. He is knowledgeable and experienced and is the recipient of various prestigious awards for his outstanding performance as a lawyer. As a mediator Doug offers any client the years of experience, vast knowledge and insight into conflict that he has gained over his many years of litigation, negotiation and mediation. Doug is very adept at bringing people to the table with sensitivity, intelligence and creativity to resolve emotionally or otherwise difficult issues.

I have known Doug Brill for all of my 20 plus years as an attorney. Having a third party neutral like Doug Brill available to assist in resolving complex, as well as high conflict matters, reduces the financial and emotional stress for attorneys and their clients. I have, and will continue to, use Doug as a practical and efficient alternative to endless and expensive litigation.

I have worked on several domestic relations cases with Douglas Brill. While the cases were controversial and adversarial, Mr. Brill always impressively operated in a manner that enabled the parties to compromise, which saved both sides time, money and unnecessary emotional trauma. In all matters, I found Mr. Brill to be intelligent, honest, hard-working, creative and a true pleasure to work with. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Douglas Brill and would strongly recommend him as a mediator.

I did my first custody trial against Doug almost 22 years ago. Even though he had considerably more experience back then, he treated me with the utmost respect. I’ve done multiple cases with Doug since and he always displays above average skills both in negotiation and in the courtroom. What always stood out was his ability to reach a workable resolution. Doug has consistently shown the temperament necessary to successfully assist divorcing parties to reach common ground.
